It seems that the Titans are hitting the ground running in regards to their trails. Facing up against the the one club they have had problems with for their first ever match as a NRL side? I find that quite funny!

does anyone know if there is actually a trial game being played on the South Coast (Mollymook/ Ulladulla) this pre season at all. I heard something about it somewhere and am trying to confirm....? help!!

The match you are talking about is on thge Saturday 3rd of March - Newcastle Knights VS Cronulla Sharks @ Baddeley Park, Cessnock. The time is yet to be announced.

Hi Anon,

To my knowledge, there has been no time set for this particular trial - it is on Saturday, but the game time is still unconfirmed.

According to my sources, it is still on on Staurday night, the 24th.

Does anyone know the time of the Raiders vs Tigers game on the 3rd of March. I take it that it is at Davies Park in West End, Brisbane ?

Also any more details of the Manly Vs Cowboys game in Cairns ? Location and time ?

Hi Anon,

Here is some info re. the Canberra V Tigers game, directly from the Souths Logan Magpies website (http://www.southsloganmagpies.com/) -

The day will be full of footy action from 12 noon when the gates open right through to the main game at 6:30pm when the mighty Canberra Raiders take on the pride of the West in the Tigers.

Curtain raisers will include high school teams, Kebra vs Marsden, the Colts and A-Grade teams and the Souths Logan Wizard Cup team against the Wests Tigers Premier side.

Details of Cowboys V Manly are as follows:-

Cowboys v Manly Sea Eagles
Barlow Park, 7.30pm

Hi Anon,

There ae only 2 trials televised to my knowledge - the WCC in the Uk (Broncos V St Helens), and the Charity Shield (Dragons V Souths).

I think the main reason they are not televised is because most clubs name second rate teams, so as to avoid injury.

Another reason could be for the lack of media technology at some of these grounds - i know for the work I am doing for the Titans this weekend, that there are no media facilities at BCU Stadium in Coffs Harbour, which means that I will have to hightail it to the nearest motel to submit the match report for the news wire.
