Gold Coast Titans First Open Field Training Run
I got down to Sam Loxton Oval this arvo, and let me just say that the boys already look pretty fit and tightknit. Most of the eyes were on Scott Prince and Luke Bailey, but I was most impressed by the enthusiasm and encouragement shown by Gavin Cooper and Luke O'Dwyer. If the talk and encouragement shown by these two is any indication, than I expect both to have a big debut season.
I was also impressed by the attitude and guidance shown by Coach John Cartwright - he already seems to have that balance of mateship and discipline which is so crucial for a head coach to have.
A quick guide to the photos below -
1 - Gilly watches over his 'Chargers'?
2 - 'Hoss' the Boss
3 - The 'Bull' ponders what he got himself into!
4 - Scott Sattler and John Cartwright talk shop.
5 - Roll Call
6 - Brad Meyers adjusts to the heat.
7 - Chris Knell (tall guy in background)- this bloke does all the behind the scenes work - works his butt off with a smile on his face - thanks for all your help thus far!
8 - Welcome home Josh Graham!
9 - Luke O'Dwyer
10 - Michael Searle watches over his empire.
11 - Laffranchi and Prince compare training tips.
Report to follow, including some more photos!
Cheers,

The photos were taken from a considerable distance, but in saying that, Luke Bailey was slightly hunched in one shot, and Prince is listed as 178cm on NRL.com.
He actually surprised me of how tall he is - I don't know how accurate the NRL Stats are.
The training shirts do look pretty good, and the jersey design wasn't my favourite selection. I think there is too much white in the uniform - maybe ditch the white shorts in favour of blue ones.
Ange,
Thanks for you comment - you are aware that Scotty Prince is married with kids ar you not??
When can we expect another update to your blog, by the way??

Congrats on achieving your 'dream job'. This site looks great. Keep up the good, and informative work.
Skye.
P.S. I also agree that the training jerseys are a better colour!

Thanks for the encouraging words - it appears that we are both now doing our 'dream jobs' !!
Have to agree with you and Jeffro about the Titans training shirts - as I have said previously, there is just too much white in the Titans playing strip.
I understand the reasoning behind the blue and yellow (representing the coulours of the coast, ie. beach and sun), but where does the white factor into it?
Good luck with your profession Skye!

StephenP
