MEDIA RELEASE - Brisbane Broncos
Darren Lockyer has been cleared to play in tonight’s NRL match at Suncorp Stadium and will suit up against the Parramatta Eels.
Lockyer has run the past two days, and an intensive training session with the team yesterday has convinced medical staff he is ready to go.
The Bronco captain consulted with club physiotherapy staff this morning and reported no associated soreness in his knee.
Lockyer’s inclusion means David Taylor will be 18th man for the match that begins at 7.45pm.

And it's been raining all day here in Brisbane, so not exactly the best conditions for someone coming from a knee reconstruction.

I agree with you 110% - I can't beleive they would risk him given how slippery the surface will be. I was looking out the window at the pouring rain here down on the Coast when this media release came through, and I have to agree with you, in that I hope they're not rushing him back.
Given the weather, it would be no surprise to see Carroll or Boyd (both had/have the flu) sit out either.
Cheers,
