Wests Tigers Round 3 Analysis

March 29th 2007 13:00

While the Tigers have shown tremendous grit and flashes of brilliance so far this season, theyare still winless in this years premiership campaign. This Friday night they meet an equally desperate Parramatta side on their home turf, in a ususally close fought and physically tough encounter.

The new look halves combo of Marshall and Morris are still finding their feet, with Morris in particular struggling in this previously foreign role. On their day, the Tigers can cut any team apart with both their ball skills and gang style defence, and if the Eels repeat their form of the opening two rounds of the premiership, than they could well be in for a long night.

Hooker Robbie Farah has impressed thus far this season, and if the Eels don't get their sloppy marker defence soughted, than Farah could put themon the backfoot all night. Rookie winger Shannan McDonnell gets a chance to impress up against NSW winger Eric Grothe, and McDonnell's blinding pace is sure to test out the fitness of Grothe's recent foot problems.

Morris, skipper Hodgson and veteran wing Jason Moodie are all palying against their old teammates this Friday night, with Moodie lined up against teen sensation Jarryd Hayne.
